Abhay Katoch

About Me:

Hi! I'm Abhay, a third-year student in Queen's University at Kingston. I major in Biotechnology, but I also take courses on philosophy, politics, classics, and just about anything else. I'm passionate about doing academic research, but I also am very interested in politics—specifically the intersection between technology and society.

Besides school, I currently work in research and policy advising; I'm also the Co-President for Queen's Effective Altruism, I debate, and am involved in student politics. I also love reading, writing, and am currently learning the piano!

If you are interested in reaching out all—please do! I'm open to talk about pretty much anything, and with anyone.

Fun Facts:

  • I know Latin and Greek—and hopefully one day Sanskrit!
  • I have (completely legally) flown a plane before; I do not have an aircraft license.
  • I can run a 6:30 mile—but I would rather not.
  • I really want to sequence my own DNA.
  • In the process of learning how to code, I had 2 seperate laptops catch fire.
